Diego Armando Maradona (Lanús, Buenos Aires, Argentina, October 30, 1960) is an Argentine former soccer player and technical director. He is considered one of the best players in the history of this sport. He has also been listed as the best player in the history of the World Cups, he has been chosen as the Best Player of the Century.

Maradona achieved important sporting achievements both in the Argentine National Team and with some of the clubs in which he played. With the national team he was champion in 1986, runner-up in 1990 and World Youth champion in 1979. His most important achievements at club level were obtained by playing for Napoli, where he won a UEFA Cup and the only two scudettos who owns the institution and has the record of being the player who was the top scorer in the Argentine championship five times.
